An open workshop for storytellers working on the early stages of developing a story to tell.
Story Seedlings is a weekly 2 hour workshop, which takes place online via Zoom. It is a space for knowledge sharing and idea generation at the early, vulnerable stages of creating and developing stories to tell.
Here you will have the chance to share a story or an idea for a story and receive constructive feedback and guidance on how to develop and grow your ideas.
I begin the workshop by sharing an idea of my own which the group can respond to. Then participants can share their own stories and ideas, either with the whole group or in breakout rooms.
By following my suggested process for offering feedback to stories, the workshop can remain a supportive space in which participants can explore the early, vulnerable stages of developing a story they want to tell.
The workshop is open to anyone who practises the art of oral storytelling.
Bring an open heart, an open mind, and a story or an idea for a story that you would like to share.
I take a maximum of 6 participants in each workshop. Once you have booked you will be sent an invitation to a Zoom meeting.
Svend-Erik Engh is a story coach with more than 25 years experience of teaching storytelling in Denmark, Sweden, USA and UK.
Svend is a wonderful teacher! He is passionate about the world of story and manages to detect the strength and weaknesses within the tale. His workshops are joyful with valuable as well as kind feedback. Even though the workshops are online now, he is able to connect with each and everyone – creating a vibrant and engaged environment. I highly recommend working with Svend and discover new and surprising ways in your telling.
