Get creative! Make puppets! Make new friends! Make new puppet friends!

Created specially for Newcastle budding puppeteers, the first ever term of the Moving Parts Puppet School will offer quality and fun puppetry training and performance opportunities unique to the region in Spring 2021. Kids and teens will be taught by Will and his robot sidekick ZB - two puppetologists on a mission to repopulate the puppetsphere through puppet creation and they need YOUR help! Budding apprentices will develop skills in making and performance, team work, individual creativity, design and confidence through 10 sessions taught mostly via Zoom (due to Covid) in Spring 2021. Apprentices will receive a certificate at the end of the course.

Teens (aged 12-18) will embark on a crash course in puppetry performance skills before taking part as chorus members in a super-secret-soon-to-be-announced socially-distanced, Covid-safe large-scale outdoor puppet extravaganza as part of Moving Parts: Newcastle Puppetry Festival 2021!

There are only 12 teens / household places available - so don't delay in booking!
