Servant Jazz Quarters, London
Wednesday, 6 Jun
£6.00 - £10.00
Bread & Circus is the musical vanity-project of London-based Glaswegian Fraser Parry and a number of his very talented friends and associates. Releasing their debut EP, Thankyou, they're looking to be propelled into immediate international stardom, unbridled wealth, a crippling fall from grace and, ultimately, untimely death. Expect orchestral instrumentation, solipsistic lyrics, and a fun time had by all.
Playing alongside these absolute chancers will be peculiar folk weirdo Men Diamler, whose comedic and confrontational live performances are quite unlike anything else you'll see. His idiosyncratic trail has left in its midst a series of obscure but wonderful home-made releases, festival appearances, mammoth 28 hour DJ sets and radio sessions. In 2017, he featured on the Stick In The Wheel-curated compilation ‘English Field Folk Recordings Volume 1’ and is currently working on a new release expected to drop in 2018.
Tickets are £6 for entry alone, or £10 including a copy of limited edition Thankyou zine, featuring words and artwork by Stuart Nixon and Fraser Parry, and a unique download code for the EP. Additional zines and codes will be on sale at the gig.
Unfortunately Servant Jazz Quarters is not wheelchair accessible. Please contact the venue regarding any other accessibility requirements.
