The Front Room, Croydon

Saturday, 28 Mar

£8.00 - £30.00

Love Warrior is a newly commissioned piece of immersive spoken word theatre, further developing a short performance that was originally part of Apples & Snakes immersive show, Rallying Cry.

This one-woman show puts love centre stage, not like the romcoms or fairytales you’ve seen or read, because life does not have a happily ever after. Covering themes of judgment, stereotypes and change, Love Warrior tells the story of love being hard but necessary.

Following the performance, there will be an audience discussion on these themes and how they shape our experiences - facilitated by Well Versed Ink.

Croydonites Festival of New Theatre

Croydonites is a festival of new theatre and performance for Croydon. Its mission is to showcase local theatre makers, and bring some of the best contemporary performance work from around the UK to CR0 doorsteps. The inaugural event took place in November 2015 when four companies presented work at two venues. The 4th edition took place in May 2019 and featured nine artists over four weeks in five venues. It has become a fixed event on Croydon's Cultural Calendar and regularly commissions new work by local artists. In 2020 it will present the 5th edition.
