A group-singing session that is dedicated to joyful communal singing, empowerment and defiance, Beccy Owen’s Pop-Up Choirs is delighted to invite you to join the nine-week group-singing programme ‘Fire Choir.’
You can reserve your place on either our Tuesday night session (Fire Choir ‘A’) or Wednesday night slot (Fire Choir ‘B’) by paying for your membership below. (You can sign up to both nights if you like, but please be aware that the repertoire for each session will be very similar!)
Together we will explore a repertoire of songs from around the world and across the ages that are rooted in social change, justice and emancipation.
This will include contemporary songs, folk songs, anti-war songs, songs of resistance and struggle, songs that focus on the natural world and songs of compassion and hope.

Taking part in these extra performances is not a mantaroty requirement, but will be lots of fun. These extra events will be led by Beccy as well as the regular sessions and will serve the purposes of taking our songs out onto the streets and into our communities. Please note, the dates, times and venues of each of these performances will be carved out by the group itself and agreed during the early phase of the programme.
Minimum age: 16 years.
*You must be available for a minimum of 6 sessions in order make taking part feasible for both individuals and the collective sound we will create!
