Disabled parking is available in the Chancery Lane North Car Park (DN22 6EU) at the back of the Town Hall. However, be aware this is a short stay car park only (max 3 hours) but parking is free after 4pm.

Why are you limiting number of tickets available per participant?
We hope that you will understand that there are many people participating in our Celebration Performances in Retford and only a limited seating capacity in the Town Hall Ballroom (which must include the participants themselves), which is why we have to limit the number of free tickets available to 2 per participant to make sure everyone has a chance to be supported at the performances.
Why will tickets only be available to the general public 1 week before the performance day?
This is because we want to prioritise participant access to the performances.
How long will the performance last?
The performance will last about 45 minutes.
Will there be reserved seating?
No (do let us know in advance on [email protected] if you have access requirements that mean you will need to sit in a particular place).
Is the piece suitable for the whole family?
Yes, the piece is suitable for all ages, you just need to make sure you reserve a free space for everyone who's coming, as we have to limit numbers of tickets available to 2 per participant. Please make your reservation in the name of the participant you are coming to see rather than your own name, so we can check how many tickets each family is using.
Is it possible to join a waiting list for any returned tickets?
Yes, if you would ideally like more than 2 tickets, please email us at [email protected] to let us know with 'Tickets Retford Town Hall' as the subject heading, and we will try to release any unallocated tickets in the last couple of days before the performance on a first-come-first-served basis.
Will I be able to just turn up on the day?
We have strictly limited capacity for our Celebration Performances, so if you haven't reserved your ticket in advance, you will not be able to get a seat by just turning up on the day.
Will I be able to get refreshments on-site?
Refreshments will not generally be available, but we will aim to provide some basic refreshments after each performance. Please note however that if you are attending the 5pm show, we will ask you to leave at around 6.15pm so we have time to welcome our guests for the 6.30pm performance. If you are attending the 6.30pm performance, please don’t arrive until 10 minutes before the performance as we won’t be able to accommodate you inside until the previous audience leave.
Do I need to bring a printed version of my ticket to the performance?
No, we will have a list of names of people who have booked on the door, or you could bring your ticket confirmation on your phone if you are able to do so (especially if you book at the last minute, meaning you might not be on our printed guest list).
Are there any other times when I will be able to see the work?
Please see the What's On section of our website - https://imaginationmuseum.co.uk/whats-on for information about other performances taking place in 2019 and 2020 as it becomes available.

Made By Katie Green is a contemporary dance company using dance, text and music to respond to places where you would not usually expect to find a dance performance. Most recently we have done this through our 'Dancing in Museums' and 'Dancing in Caves' projects. We are interested in telling stories about what it means to be human, what this has meant throughout history and how what has happened in the past affects us now. We want to create vibrant, memorable, moving work, and to do this in all kinds of places for a range of different audiences.
