Ready for serious silliness? Follow the trail and take part in playful challenges.

Agents from the International Ministry of Play (IMP for short), are here in Newcastle to undertake an extremely serious Survey of Play. With pop-up discos, fairground games and silly selfies, IMP’s Agents of Play will be testing how playful Geordies really are!

To start:

Book your place at Alphabetti (up to 4 families of max. 5 members each per hour) or collect your Play Passport from IMPs Agent of Play on Northumberland Street and Blackett Street.

Upon completing your first challenge you shall receive a map and Play Passport.

Find and complete all the challenges hidden across the city.

Hand in your completed Play Passport to any IMP Agent across the city and save Newcastle from a future as boring as a novelty tie!

Alphabetti Theatre

Alphabetti Theatre is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne and was created by Ali Pritchard in 2012. We create, produce, and programme new, original work from emerging artists across the performing arts, championing work in Music, Theatre, Comedy and Poetry. We strive to make theatre that is relatable and accessible to all, and are constantly looking for new ways to challenge ourselves, physically, mentally and conceptually – we believe that by challenging ourselves we inevitably challenge the audience, creating engaging and original experiences.
