Toby Belch is unwell. The years of drinking and debauchery have taken their toll. Now he faces his end, with the knowledge that he is seen as a buffoon, a drunken sot and a bully. He could have been Hamlet, he could have been Macbeth... Is this his epitaph?
The Widgeon Theatreboat is an 82-year-old traditional working narrowboat, rejuvenated from transporting grit, sand & gravel into an extraordinary theatrical venue. It offers two stages: one playing to an audience seated bankside, one within the boat itself under a circus-style canvas. Take this opportunity to enjoy plays in an intimate ambience—outdoor theatre at it's best.
