A weekly Yin and Yoga Nidra class to stretch your fascia deeply and calm the nervous system. Come and practice floor based yoga postures by candlelight in a room which looks over Clissold Park. with the use of props (provided) to support the body.
Yin is a quiet, medititive, reflective practice which can help us slow down and look inwards. It is particularly useful to support a more dynamic practice as it improves flexibility and is fantastic if you are peri or post menopausal as it cools the body down (so good for symptoms like hot flushes, headaches or insomnia).
Yoga Nidra ia powerful guided meditation practiced in savasana (lying down) which enables you to deeply rest the body and mind.
Expect to leave this class feeling grounded, calmer, and like you have stretched the connective tissue passively but deeply, enabling you to feel less stressed and better able to sleep.
Class suitable for all levels including complete beginners.
No need to bring anything, just comfortable clothes; mats, bolsters, blankets, eye bags, belts and blocks are all provided.
