Upper Norwood Library Supporters' Scheme

Upper Norwood Library Hub, London

£30.00 - £250.00

The Upper Norwood Library Hub Supporters Scheme

What is the Upper Norwood Library Hub Supporters’ Scheme?

The Supporters Scheme is a way to raise funds for the Upper Norwood Library Hub.

By becoming a Supporter you’ll help to maintain our historic building, sustain the services we provide and secure the home of the Upper Norwood Library. As a registered charity, we rely on grant funding, fundraising, and the generosity of our  supporters to raise the £225,000 needed annually to keep the doors open and the lights on.

Our Story

The Upper Norwood Library Hub (UNLH) was born out of a successful campaign by local residents to save the Upper Norwood Joint Library. In 2016 the running of the building was transferred  into the hands of the community to become the exciting and vibrant community space it is today. We are now open 6 days a week and have increased weekly opening hours from 22 to 48, whilst hosting a programme of  36 activities for the local community.

What your membership will help fund

Our free or subsidised services including: free bike training and hire for women and children of domestic abuse, fuel poverty training and advice, English lessons for people with limited English, computer courses, a weekly bereavement help point, youth work, volunteering and training opportunities and our very own low cost borrowing movement the Library of Things.

You can also come and try one of the exercise classes, learn to sew, bask in a lovely sound bath, have a cup of coffee at Norvilles Coffee Shop or even show your talent at one of our open mic nights!

Attic Arts Club

The UNLH Supporters’ Scheme also offers you unique membership and a number of free tickets to our annual theatre & comedy festival the Attic Arts Club, produced in partnership with local theatre producers Disentangle Projects.

The Attic Arts Club provides the best in live theatre, comedy, cabaret and family entertainment; its first year in 2018 was a roaring success and played to 1300 people. With your support we will bring another host of stars to shine brightly right here in our very own Crystal Palace this June!

Benefits of being an UNLH Supporter

Full member benefits for each membership package are listed below but we would also love members to be able to come and experience some of what’s on offer here at the library hub so your membership will come with a set amount of ‘credits’. Credits can be used to attend a range of classes, gigs, events or for tickets to the Attic Arts Club.
